2 vs. 1 Muscle Workout Routine

I've been working out very regularly since college now, and it's been several years since I haven't been going nearly every day of the week. Working out has had a really positive impact on my life, and it's helped me in areas I never would have expected. I don't need as much sleep, I eat healthier, and I'm generally in a better mood because of it.

I like to be as steady as I can with my workouts. It keeps things easy and routine, and I end up not neglecting any part of my body this way. Still, I've never really known whether to go with one or two muscles per workout.

The best way to determine the answer to anything is to test each possibility. This is what I've done in the past, as I tried many different combos.

When I was doing two muscles per weight lifting session, I would typically have a three day rotation before starting all over again.

There are some good things about doing things this way. Very often, I'd end up working important muscles like my chest and legs twice in a week, which was great for muscle growth.

On the other hand, it was taking me at least 90 minutes per workout and sometimes I didn't have time for this. Others also believe that hitting each muscle twice in a week is overdoing it.

A few years ago, I decided to switch my workout routine to one that just focused on one muscle group per session. This has saved me a lot of time, and I've taken advantage of the extra time.

You're probably wondering if this makes a difference if you've never tried it. If you're able to get to the gym about five days per week, I'd definitely suggest doing it. Your muscles will be fine. If you're only going two or three times, though, you're probably best off sticking to two muscles per workout.

Learn Guitar - Here's a Great Little Guitar Lesson - A Nice Guitar Chord Change That Crops Up in Many Songs!

This week's tip is a nice little chord change that crops up in many songs and is really effective but it does assume you have some understanding of playing the guitar. If not don't worry as my full course (due to be released shortly) covers every aspect from an absolute beginner through to monster guitar players.

Over the coming weeks you'll be building up an archive of tips and tricks you will be able to use as a reference once you are at a level to be able to play the phrases.

Ok, give this a whirl:

Playing an 'A major' chord in the open position using your 1st,2nd and 3rd finger play one bar all downstrokes and on the beat.

Next lift off your 3rd finger to reveal the open B string (this chord is called Asus2) and play one bar.

Now use your 4th finger to hold down the B string at the third fret, your 1st and 2nd fingers remain unchanged at the second fret in this piece. Now play one bar. This chord is called the Asus4 chord.

To finish off we play one bar of A major to complete this sequence.

I would like to give you another tips before I sign off this week...

This tip is all about getting cool sounding chords easily by using open strings within chords.

Ok to start off we are going to play an A major chord but with a difference. The fingerings will be: 4th string 7th fret with your 3rd finger, 3rd string 6th fret 2nd finger and 2nd string 5th fret with your 1st finger. The first string will be played open. The chord is called an A major chord. Strum one bar.

Hold the shape and move it two frets down the neck whilst keeping the 1st string open. Play one bar. The chord is called a G6 chord...

Next play a Dsus2 chord. The fingerings are as follows: Play the 4th string open, the 3rd string on the 2nd fret with the 1st finger and the 2nd string 3rd fret 3rd finger keeping the 1st string open and play one bar.

And finally play an (A) major chord in the open position that is..5th string open - 4th,3rd and 2nd string are played at the second fret with fingers 1,2,3 and the 1st string is ...you guessed it open.

Simply play one or two bars of each chord over and over for an amazing chord progression. It sounds superb on its own and also great to solo over and fantastic for writing your own songs.

Fast And Easy Thanksgiving Recipes

Thanksgiving is a time of food. The Pilgrims worked hard to make the new world their home, and this was their celebration. Every year it's a traditional meal. The table is jammed with turkey, stuffing and all the trimmings. History aside, families also like to get everyone together in one room. The food may be similar, but Thanksgiving dinner recipes have as much variety as the colors of the leaves on the November trees.

Why not try the following appetizer? It's a pretty simple Pumpkin soup. Add butter and oil to a pan over medium heat. Saute the white part of the leeks in this until they're soft. Add 15 ounces of pumpkin puree, a pinch of cloves, one tablespoon of ground cinnamon, one teaspoon of ground ginger, and a pinch of salt. Now stir in some vegetable broth. Add brown sugar. Use low heat to simmer it for 10 minutes. Cream or half and half are optional, along with a pinch of cinnamon on top of each bowl. Mmmm boy that's delicious.

For the main course try frying the turkey instead of broiling it. It won't get greasy. The oil is so hot it doesn't flow into the meat. Get a big drum and a propane burner, otherwise known as a deep fryer. A meat thermometer is also needed, along with a deep fry thermometer to check the oil for the correct temperature. Make sure to fry outside in a clear area. The oil must be between 325F and 350F. Cook it for 3 minutes per pound, until the breast is 170F. Dressing isn't fried inside the turkey, but spices can be injected into it.

For some other soup ideas try curried pumpkin apple soup, butternut squash soup, or pumpkin and sausage soup. But there are other good appetizers for the meal. Give cheese wrapped asparagus a try. Both sliced and spread cheese go into this one. A blue cheese spread over slices of swiss can be good. The slices are spread with the other cheese, wrapped around a few spears, and cooked at 230C until the asparagus is soft. Sure wrapping cheese around asparagus turns a pretty healthy food into something a little more fattening. Thanksgiving is a time for a little fun. So live it up.

Modern tennis has gone through many changes, and the'80s were the years that served as the transition for this. Racquets quickly went from wooden ones to graphite ones, and much more happened as well.

This brief article will focus on my favorite 5 tennis players from the'80s. These aren't ordered by who was best, simply by my favorites. I hope you enjoy it!

Bjorn Borg is thought by many to be a top three tennis player of all time, and others believe he may have been the best. Had he not retired at a young age, he could very well hold some more records.

Next on my list is Stefan Edberg, whose career began in the'80s and lasted into the'90s. The Swedish net player was one of the best volleyers in the history of the sport, and one of the last pure volleyers as well.

Boris Becker. Ah, the jump serve. Becker popularized this method of serving in the'80s, and just about everyone I knew tried to emulate it in their own way. Becker was a true warrior on the tennis court, and I'm a big fan of what he did for the sport.

Ivan Lendl was one of the steadiest players to ever play the sport. His career was a storied won, with a handful of grand slam wins and even more tournament victories. Lendl's baseline play was downright scary.

At number one on my list is John McEnroe. His personality and his talent were both top notch, and he played the sport with all of his heart. McEnroe may very well be the most beloved American tennis player in the history of the sport.

It was hard to narrow this list down to just five, as there are many others I could have mentioned. How do these players compare to yours?

With a decade of music behind us, it's time to recognize some of the many great musical talents whose work defined the last ten years. While I could list many more than five, I figured that I might as well narrow it down to the most influential and prolific bands of the decade in my mind.

In doing this, I'd like to narrow it down to five before choosing one in my mind whose influence and body of work was stronger than any other. There's no right answer to this, as it's all a matter of personal tastes.

The first band I'd like to nominate here is the White Stripes. The garage rock duo of Jack and Meg White is really important in the music world for a number of reasons.

This marked the beginning of a musical era that placed an emphasis on classic rock and the many great bands whose pure rock paved the way. With a handful of releases throughout the decade, the White Stripes definitely make my list.

Next on the list is Radiohead. Many might call them the band of the 90s, but they've been just as integral this past decade, further polishing and evolving their sound.

Each Radiohead album has been a unique experience, with innovation being the key factor here. Radiohead sounds absolutely nothing like the band did in the'90s, and critics and fans have enjoyed every bit of the band's music.

Last on the list here is Wilco. A band that's equal parts classic rock, alt country, and experimental, this band has made quite the impact during the past decade.

Just when Wilco's record label was ready to give up on the band, Wilco decided to turn on its label and release Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, their 2002 album, independently. Everything is history from there, as some of the decade's best releases were crafted by Wilco.

Having said all that, it's a tough decision but I think I'll go with Wilco here.
